Our Mission:

Our Organisation:

North Richmond Community Centre Inc is a well established not for profit community organisation on the western side of the Hawkesbury River.
In an age dominated by online connections, loneliness and anxiety we aim to provide innovative opportunities for people of all ages to meet like-minded others, have fun, find support, make friends and feel connected again in real life and to have a feeling of belonging!

Our mission is ‘Connecting People – Strengthening Community!

We offer

• Activities and programs for famlies with young children
• Out of School Hours Care for primary school aged children
• Innovative programs for young people 12-18
• Events and learning opportunities for the whole community
• A time out & peer support group for mums
• Meeting spaces for many different groups
• Community spaces for private functions

We are a grass roots organisation that aims to be well connected and responsive to our local community and emerging issues.

We work in partnership with other local services and Council, as together we can provide more opportunities for the whole community to connect and celebrate, such as Youth Week, NAIDOC Day, International Women’s Day, Paint Hawkesbury REaD events and more.

Our Management Committee is made up of interested local community members who volunteer their time and expertise. If you are interested in becoming part of our Management Committee please e-mail manager@northrichmond.org.au.

Qualified staff are employed to facilitate and manage the daily operations of our services, and volunteers support various program aspects.

Our Centres

Our three centres are located at the North Richmond Community Complex at 33 William Street and 30 Elizabeth Street at North Richmond.

The centres are managed by North Richmond Community Centre Inc. and owned by Hawkesbury City Council. They are set in a peaceful environment, surrounded by greenery, with a playground right next to it and only 5 minutes walk from North Richmond Shopping Centre. All buildings are well maintained and have plenty of parking.

North Richmond Community Centre is a real Community Hub, with friendly and welcoming staff, activities and opportunities for people of all ages, and a perfect meeting place for many local groups.

North Richmond Community Centre opened its doors to the community in November 1985. The Community Centre has two large halls, both perfect for birthday parties, private functions, community meetings, exercise, yoga, dancing and much more, a bright & comfortable meeting room, a large foyer, a kitchen and office spaces.

The halls and the meeting room can be hired by anyone, and all spaces are regularly hired by many different groups for their activities.

In 2003 the Youth Centre, affectionately known by local young people as NRGY (North Richmond Generation Youth), was built. The Youth Centre has a hall that can also be hired, as well as two offices, one of which is used at the Music Studio for our Music School program.

The Chas Perry Hall houses our Fun Factory Out of School Hours Care Service for primary school aged children.
